BDC also has a robust leadership program for campers starting 9th & 10th grade, and many of these participants will join our staff once they have finished high school.

Staff Profile:

90+ staff range in age from 18 (or recent high school grads) to 65+ years old. Many are college students ages 19-23. Approximately 75% return from year to year. Teachers, coaches, and graduate students comprise the majority of our teaching staff. All are committed to working hard, teaching children while supporting families, and sharing good spirit.

*As required by Massachusetts state law, all staff members will be screened through Criminal (CORI) and Sex Offender (SORI) background check databases, because of their close work with children while at camp.*

Campers from Kindergarten to 8th grade rotate through various activities throughout the day. In the afternoons campers focus on elected Choice Activities. Campers infant through age five are in our young children's program. Visit www.thefamilyschools.com for more information on our young childrens' program. these young campers enjoy classroom-based and outdoor activities which revolve around weekly camp themes developed and taught by the year round family school staff. all campers, regardless of age, have a red cross swim lesson daily as well as the opportunity for a free swim in the afternoon.
